We will see what the season brings for the ‘Old Men’ of the team. Both are in great health and full of well… ‘urine’ and vinegar in the yard. It is strictly up to them whether they wish to see Nome again.

I’m, of course, thrilled to have the strong veterans like Moses, Odie, Loki, Kara, Hec, Herman, and Crunchie back. It will be wonderful what the last year’s rookies; Snickers, Dasher, Batdog, Jr, Q and Jinx bring to the table with them this season.

Next we move onto the rookies that trained up with us last season, but just weren’t quite ready for the ‘big team’ - (5 dogs):

You all know Newt drives me insane!! However, right now, he is doing well in training – and if he doesn’t drive me crazy in the next few months, he may even make the team!

Eeek is looking marvelous and maturing into a lovely, strong dog.

The last group are the true rookies – in their first season of serious training - (10 dogs):

| Roary | Charm | Lingo | Runner | Watt | Charge | Tess | Boom | Pacer | Piper |

Lots of exciting dogs in this group. Of course, you have already heard me brag about Tess. Boom is simply an amazing young, powerful dog – as is his favorite running mate, Charge. Lingo and Runner both seem mature beyond their experience, acting like professionals already. Roary just took the season off to whelp out a litter of Herman babies for our friends, Mike and Kathy Carmichael of Carmacks Siberians. She comes home today and will get right into training!

All and all, a strong, capable and inspiring team. They make me hopeful and excited about the upcoming season – Let’s get this party started!
